Production Methodology

The geomembrane manufacture process begins with the meticulous selection of virgin high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin, 

which is rigorously inspected and tested for key parameters 

such as density, melt index,

 and carbon black content to ensure raw material quality and consistency 

. The resin is then fed into an extruder, where it is heated to a precise temperature range (typically between 200–260°C) until molten 

. This molten polymer is forced through a flat or circular die to form a continuous sheet of the desired thickness and width, 

with advanced manufacturing facilities often employing co-extrusion or blow-molding techniques to achieve uniform material distribution 

Throughout production, quality assurance protocols are strictly implemented. In addition to raw material checks, 

in-process monitoring is conducted to 

maintain consistent thickness and surface quality, 

while finished HDPE geomembrane liners undergo a series of performance tests 

. These tests typically include tensile strength, tear resistance, puncture resistance, 

and oxidation induction time (OIT) measurements,

often conforming to international standards 

such as ASTM or GB/T 17643-2011 

. Such comprehensive quality control ensures that each geomembrane sheet meets required mechanical 

and durability standards before being rolled, packaged, 

and shipped for use in applications ranging to environmental containment and water infrastructure
